Here's a weekend recap (sorta)...now in Technicolor!
Friday (night): Drove down to the Century Theaters in Daly City...had dinner at Fuddruckers...watched Kill Bill...f*ckin' gory but awesome nonetheless.
Saturday: Walked over to Piers 30 - 32 to check out the Red Bull Flugtag event that was happening...I got some "Thai" food for f*ckin' $9 which came with a pitiful portion of fried rice, chow mein, veggie eggroll, and BBQ chicken stick...was more like an appetizer for me...didn't get to watch most of the crazy-ass folx jumping off the ramp and into the nasty bay waters...dropped g/f off at work...got an "in-between-factory-servicing" oil change...chilled at home...went to go pick up g/f...
...went to PPQ on Irving @ 19th Ave....got some fresh shrimp rolls...g/f ordered the satay style pho...I gotz me what I usually get at pho restaurants - #1: large bowl!!! (funny how almost all pho places place their super combo pho as #1 on the menu)...
...proceeded to this place modestly named Coffee House a block west of PPQ...g/f LOOOOVES their "Strawberry Snow" drink...drove home full and happy.
Sunday: Rolled around in bed like pigs in a blanket...drove down to Burlingame for brunch at Stacks...drove down to Hillsdale Shopping Ctr. to futz around...drove back home where g/f had to take a nap before work...drove g/f to work...relaxed the rest of the night.

So I was on the phone with Peggy the other day, and it dawned on me that I still have this lingering guilt that we just got up and left the table right after lunch with only a glancing "thank you" for meeting us and for allowing us to runaway and stiffing her and her bud Ivy with the bill. We were duely punished, though, since Salon Gregory's across from Costa Mesa Shopping Ctr. wasn't kind enough to let us know ahead of time that the stylist my g/f wanted to try moved down to their sister salon near the Irvine Spectrum! Motherf*ckers! But I digress....
What didn't help was that once Ashlyn started warming up to us, she was in a playful mood, so we ensued in riveting game of peek-a-boo. She's a very tough competitor to say the least! However, when we were making a mad dash out of the joint, she started crying (prolly cuz she was leading in points). Man, talk about heart wrenching! And she's not even MY kid!!!
But make no bones about it! I WILL BE REDEEMED!!!

First off, I'd like to give a big MUCHO MAHALO to Madam Six for all the great info she's provided me about downtown Vegas and all others who offered their own tidbits of info! I'm soooo excited about going, since it will be my maiden voyage into the underbelly of downtown Vegas. Everyone I've talked to keeps telling me that there's a sh*tload of peeps from Hawaii that usually stay at the Cal. This could be a good thing and also a bad thing. Last thing I need is to bump into one of my parent's friends who in turn will travel back home to Hawaii and snitch on me. In less than a 5 minute turnaround, I'll no doubt receive a call from my Mom who's gonna bitch me out and lecture me on how I like to sai chien (waste money) and that I should hahn chien (save money) so that I can mai gaiji (buy a ring), gihp fun (get married), and mai gahn uhk (buy a house). Heard it all before folx, so if I can avoid that, I will!!!
Speaking of Vegas, I'm still undecided on renting a car or not. I'm in that frame of thought that Vegas is a "walking" town, although I made the mistake of letting my g/f know there's a new outlet mall that would require us to get a car to get to *bad Mouji...bad, bad Mouji*. Other than that, I'm opting that we can take the bus out to the strip during the day (since most drunks will probably be passed out during the ride...or perhaps not) and taking the cab back to downtown. Driving to the strip might be a waste since I gotta pay for parking and stuff, not to mention the traffic we'll encounter on the strip during the weekend *cringe*.
Ok...'nuff 'bout that...which leads me to...uh...well...nothing much else is going on, so toodles!

Calling all Vegas experts! Calling all Vegas experts! We be wanting to go to Vegas next month before Thanksgiving, but the prices are outrageous for hotels on the strip. I've been looking at a few downtown hotels as an alternative, but we have rather strict requirements for our stay. Mainly, the hotel should have a great pool to lounge/swim in. Gotta have...gotta, gotta, gotta! We've been checking the more "infamous" of online reservation systems (e.g. Expedia.scam, Travelocity.ripoff, etc.). Is there anywhere else I should be checkin'? Thanks in advance for any help, guys! Really!

So I was first introduced to a Mr. Julio Iglesias Jr. watching the Sharon Osbourne show on cable. At first I was like oh no....another bastard child, but the dude actually went to school in NorCal I believe. I ain't cofirming it...just repeating what I heard him say through his still thick Spanish accent. My g/f doesn't think he's cute, but I know better. If she saw the part where he takes off his shirt and climbed into bed with Mrs. Osbourne, I betcha she'd be all silent and stuff. HAHAHAHAHA!
Work finally slowed down a bit, but now I have a lot of "catch up" work to do.
