**********A BIT DISAPPOINTED**********

Yesterday, my g/f and I decided we wanted to check out PJ's Oyster Bed on Irving @ 9th. So we get there at around 2pm for a late lunch hoping that any crowd would have depleted by then. Sure enough, upon arrival, there were only a handful of people there. We stood there for at least 5 minutes before someone greeted us. We were informed that it would be a couple of minutes, but scanning the dining room, there were quite a few uncleared tables. As perplexed as we were, we stood there in astonishment as both wait staff personnel just walked pass the messy tables doing gawd knows what else. One of the cooks standing idle behind the bar decided to pull double-duty and started cleaning one of the tables. Another 5 minutes passed before this short little waitress showed us to a table near the window which really troubled me since it appeared to us it was cleared a long while ago *huff*. OK...no prob...patience, dear Mouji...patience...The short waitress took our drink and meal orders, and all was good. We got our bowls of clam chowder (which was quite good), and once we were scraping the bottom of the cups, the waitress decides to bring our drinks. No biggie, right? So we waited another half hour or so (it was 3pm by then), and I was near volatile cuz I was just mad hungry by then. I mean, how long does it really take to cook up a coupla seafood omelets? I look around the sparse dining hall, and none of the waitstaff were around. I just shot up out of my seat and started walking around the establishment hoping to find a live body. The kitchen staff saw me walking around like a deranged maniac which eventually flushed out the waitress. "Hi! Is there anything else I can bring you?", she asks me in this excrutiatingly irritating perky voice. I bellowed back, "Yeah...How long do you think it's going to take before our food arrives? It's nearly dinner time, and I'm wondering if it's even worth the wait!" In shock, she hurried back to the kitchen while I ignored the glare of the other people in the joint as I fumed back to my seat. And guess what happened when she got back to us? Guess! Just guess!!! The bitch forgot to put in our order!!! Oh mah gawd! I was swaying back and forth on whether or not I should pummel her right there and then! There was just NO excuse for such sh*tty f*ckin' service! Ended up eating a bagel sandwhich at Noah's across the street. It will be too soon before I step foot in that f*cked up restaurant again!

**********QUOTE**********

"To those who live here, no place is prettier, cooler or smarter than San Francisco. The city rose on the water's edge, some have presumed, not so it could establish thriving ports but so it could admire its own reflection."
-- Joan Ryan; San Francisco Chronicle

Dude, when I read that I was thinking to myself so true...so true!

**********IT CAN BE TAUGHT!**********

I know for most of you that what I've achieved is nothing more than a passing fart, but I just learned how to make a link which opens up a site without the menu, toolbar, address bar, and even the status bar on the bottom! Woo hoo! Now if y'all be kind enough to click on the Byron and Sedgewick Show, you'll notice that it'll open up to a nice little compact window you can leave on your desktop for your viewing pleasure! Not that you will...but just in case, ok?

**********NEVER STOP LEARNING**********

Even though I've had an extremely busy last 7 days, I always take the time to learn something new. One thing I learned last night is that peas, like corn, aren't quite fully digestable.

*flush*

**********CALL THE EXTERMINATOR**********

Oh...mah...gawd...after following a link 6togo noted in the comments of the prior post, I found that those "Hamster Fetus" actually existed prior to the Quiznos mishap. This particular site either is birthplace of the monstrosities or a macabre collection of twisted animation.

Enjoy...if you can

**********RODENT SANDWICHES?**********

I dunno 'bout y'all, but those two Frankenrodents Quiznos Subs is using as their new mascots probably won't bode well with people in the mood for a good sandwich. I mean seriously! Those friggin' monstrosities look like some mad scientist pieced together parts from roadkill strewn along a busy highway and brought back to life with a gigawatt bolt of electricity! And to make a connection between rodents and sandwiches? This is what happens when there isn't a review process in the marketing department...

Who knows...this might - for some sick and twisted reason - work out for them *hurl*

Ok...time to archive this bad boy and back it up...

**********FAS' KINE WEEKEND UPDATE**********

UPDATE: I now have a new commenting feature powered by HaloScan. Please feel free to leave me or any other reader a comment by clicking the "Talk Dirty To Me / Filthy Mouths" down below every entry. Note that with Haloscan, I can actually delete someone's comments, so please be kind.

Bah! My commenting feature is down indefinitely! Guess I'll be looking for something else, which when I was first shoppin' around was hard to come by. Soon, my lovely audience...soon...

Didn't do too much over the weekend, besides goin' out w/ my pal Martin on Saturday for lunch and other projects and watching the Superbowl. Boring, huh?

Speaking of boring, I have my usual month-end craziness going on...booo...
