**********PICKIN' CHERRIES**********

Was such a beautiful day Sunday, so we decided to haul ass to Brentwood to pick some white cherries. Can't beat "u-pick", vine-ripened, sweet-as-candy, white cherries right from the freakin' trees! And at $2 per lb.??? Can't resist, dude!

"Yadda yadda yadda..."

Gee...this scene look familiar to anyone?

First victim cherry of the day

Had to climb like monkeys to get the darker, plumper berries

FYI...just in case you haven't seen it growing on a tree before

Dat's me molesting the "twig and berries" hehehehehe

Nuthin' like an ice-cold 7-11 slurpee on a hot day

How we drink our Slurpee in SF's Tenderloin district

Literally, the fruits of our labor

**********CRYING FOUL************

OMG!!! It happened again!!! IT HAPPENED AGAIN!!! I was researching last-minute Memorial Day weekend packages on Expedia.com when I found something I was interested in for $236 per person. After clicking around the itineray to learn more about the hotel, location, other options, etc., f*ckin' Expedia said that the price has changed since the time of my original inquiry from $236 p/p to $276!!! WTF, right?!!

Dealing with this fraudulent act once before, I decided to do the same thing I did a few months back:
  • in IE, went to Tools/Internet Options and deleted all the cookies, files (including offline contents), and history
  • ran Spybot and cleaned out a few spyware/adware/registry pests
  • also ran Ad-aware to make sure I get the few stragglers that SpyBot didn't get
  • rebooted the computer.
And guess what happened when I ran the same query on Expedia? The price all of a sudden reverted back to $236 p/p!!! What the f*ck is going on here???!!! Man, if I weren't blinded by raw rage, I should have alt+print screen the active windows that clearly showed the initial query, the price jack, and the same query after I performed some mojo on the 'puter, and send my findings to as many consumer watchdog groups I can get a hold of!

**********'NOTHER FUN-FILLED WEEKEND*********

  • Friday *night*: Met up with a bunch of my co-workers at the Holding Company (Embarcadero 2) to wish another co-worker farewell as she's moving to Ireland to marry some rich Irish dude (she's Filipina, btw...don't ask)...ate dinner half-drunk at Chevy's...futz'd around the apartment...called it a night.

  • Saturday: Woke up and cooked us up some Portuaguese sausage, eggs, and rice brunch...watched Chasing Liberty on DVD...g/f like it (of course)...drove to Sun Valley Mall in Concord for fun...ate dinner at Todai...shopped aimlessly for a b'day gift for my g/f's mom...drove home empty-handed...well, my g/f "acquired" a new suit jacket, but don't tell her mom that *hee hee hee*...drove home and called it a night.

  • Sunday: At lunch at Taylor's Refresher in the Ferry Building...took the bus (yeah, you read that right) to Fort Mason to check out the NextFest 2004 hosted by Wired Magazine...saw some pretty cool stuff, but pricey for $15 per person...read the fine print and noted that a year's subscription to Wired magazine was included in the admission price...read the finer print and noted that you can get $10 back instead of the subscription if you just include a self-addressed, stamped envelope! Yee Haw!!!...went home and watched In America...my g/f balled her eyes out...went to PPQ on Irving for some yummy noodle dishes...called it a night.

"Why you should never put your picture on the Internet ..."

It's a little mean (like that poor Star Wars Kid), but I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh out loud!

    **********I'D BE NO BETTER**********

I admit it. My moral and ethical foundation in life dwells in a constant shadow...somewhere in-between the "good" and the "bad". Having said that, I hope you all will forgive, or at the very least understand what I'm about to say.........

Y'know those Iraqi prisoner pics that's been floatin' around recently? Like the one where the prisoners were stacked up in a human pyramid? Or the one where the guy was standing on the box with wires attached to his fingers threatening an electrocution should he fall off the box?

I find them f*ckin' hilarious!!! I know deep down inside (and for some deep, DEEP down inside), you find a couple of them quite amusing.

    Don't lie! Don't lie!
