I'm assuming playing around with gummy bears and making them do the 69 position (cuz they fit ever-so-perfectly that way like Lego) while sitting at the same table of your former director when you should be paying attention to the speaker is not a good thing, right? ***posted by Mouji on 8/30/2005 06:31:00 PM*** ::

*** Resolution...for now ***: Ok...called the office manager this morning and she apologized for not calling me back yesterday citing she had "clinicals" or "clinic" - whatever - and couldn't get back to me (yet she left promptly at 5:00PM? Makes you think out loud, don't it?). Anyhoo, she apologized and admitted to "human error" and told me she squared the billing situation with the medical group. I had her call the medical group to confirm what she did in writing (f*cking FINALLY!). The situation isn't quite over until I have a letter in hand, but I guess she finally understood what the potential ramification for inaction would have been...at least I HOPE that's what went through her mind. ***posted by Mouji on 8/19/2005 01:45:00 PM*** ::

I'm all jittery with nerves right now. Just got off the phone with the office manager for some thoracic surgeon discussing a denial of claim letter I got from a prominent (read: largest) medical group in the Bay Area. First off, I haven't seen a doctor in about a decade (I know, I know...shame on me) let alone a specialist...and not just any specialist but a thoracic surgeon of all specialists! I don't even know what part of the body "thoracic" refers to...I'm assuming the word is derived from thorax which would mean abdominal, but I'd need to look it up which I don't quite have the time to now...I digress...Furthermore, they filed the claim with Aetna which I don't think I ever had, and if I did, I wasn't with them for at least the couple of years I've been with this company. Finally, they have my current address (but that could be explained by a number of things). Was this all a mistake or was it insurance fraud or, worse yet, identity theft? Well, seeing as to how you'd have to be a royal f*ck up to make THAT MANY MISTAKES, I'd have to err on the side of caution and protect myself and my financial well-being. ***posted by Mouji on 8/18/2005 03:46:00 PM*** ::

Confirmed for those interested: Zara is officially open. My fiance could have done a lot more damage, but I feigned hunger to hasten her. Did some damage, but otherwise pretty tamed. I think she's reserving the bulk of the ferocity for nights when I have to work late *shudder*. ***posted by Mouji on 8/17/2005 12:42:00 PM*** ::

After a grueling month of July trying to pump out our 10-Q then riding that fracking (Battlestar Galactica, anyone?) clusterf*ck into our July month-end close, I can say finally...FINALLY!...I have some quiet days ahead to catch my breath... ***posted by Mouji on 8/12/2005 12:45:00 PM*** ::

So I saw this dude...well-dressed, young, kempt...cryin' on his cell phone while pacing back and forth. On his way back towards me, I could hear on the other side some woman screaming at him, and all I could think of was that he got caught cheating or some stupid sh*t like that. Turns out the heinous act was indeed stupid and equally abominable - he lost their savings in some investment gone awry! You'd think that sh*t only happens in the movies, but I've seen worse...like mass layoffs and entire companies going through bankruptcy liquidations... In my quest to print out my own wedding invitations, I scoured the net trying to find a free (or "free-to-try") Chinese word processor, when I came across some forum which basically said MS Office already has some reading/writing support for simplified and traditional Chinese. Sweeet!!! Now I gotta learn how to read, write, AND type Chinese! Yippee!Went to Paper Source in the Marina to order a pack o' ten A7 pocket folder enclosures to toy around with. Also got a sheet of white lace w/ embroidered daisies for the sash on the enclosures. We're still undecided on the color(s) of the ribbons around the sash and inside the enclosure to hold up the vellum invites. And if I didn't tell you outright that I'm a heterosexual male, you'd think some fuggin' chick wrote all of this. Oh will you look at that! *looks down at crotch* My f*ckin' balls are shrinking! ***posted by Mouji on 8/09/2005 09:53:00 AM*** ::

![]() This 3 minute moment of Zen is brought to you courtesy of Haagen Dazs and their genious marketing team. Some way, some how I gotta incorporate that "anthem" into my wedding ceremony, reception, or video highlights... Speaking of which, I think most of the vendors are pretty much taken care of except for the florist and baker. Also, we still have to come up with a menu and a price quote from the restaurant. And to mix things up a bit, it appears that our videographer once sued our DJ for damages blaming the DJ's equipment for failing to play his slideshow & ceremony highlights DVD. Hopefull I can squash that sh*t between them before sh*t goes down, knowwutahmsayin'? Perhaps I haven't yet immersed myself into the nitty-gritty, but I'm actually having fun planning our wedding. Most fun so far is making our own invitations. I gotta say - inkjet vellum f*ckin' rox!!! Never heard of it before...never seen it before...and it's rare to find one in your local stationary store. Anyhoo, if you're planning on making your own invites (not just wedding invites necessarily), checkout Paper Source for envelopes and stuff...coupla locations here in SF and scattered about elsewhere. Can't wait till I have a prototype ready to share (as my estrogen gauge starts red-lining...)! ***posted by Mouji on 8/03/2005 08:49:00 AM*** ::
